PYTHON CRUSHES PET DOG TO DEATH/UN PYTHON TUE UN CHIEN EN L'ETOUFFANT

Second attack of a pet dog in less than a  fortnight, by an enormous python at Sai Kung West Country Park!

              Un python etouffe a mort un chien de compagnie.

Deuxieme attaque de chien de compagnie, en moins de deux semaines, par un enorme python au Parc National de Sai Kung West!

Le malheureux Charlie, 18 mois, 28 kgs s'est fait attaquer en presence de sa proprietaire Anglaise et de ses deux enfants de 5 et 7 ans.

Poor Charlie aged 18 months, 28kg, was attacked in front of his British owner and her two children aged 5 and 7 years.

According to the SCMP article, "The owner tried to fight the 5 metres python by hitting it with with a walking stick, but when she realised her dog had died, she was forced to leave it in the snakes grip."

D'apres l'article du SCMP, "La proprietaire essaya de frapper le python long de 5 m, avec un baton de randonnee, mais quand elle realisa que son chien etait mort, elle dut l'abandonner a l'etreinte du serpent"

She tells to the SCMP :' It was massive...easily about 5 metres, because Charlie was a big dog of about 28 kg." "It happened so quickly. within a few seconds" She said she hit the python with a walking stick, but the more she did so, the more the snake constricted around the dog.

Elle raconte au journal : "Il etait enorme, facilement 5 metres de long, et Charlie pesait 28 kg." "C'est arrive si vite, en quelques secondes" Elle ajouta que plus elle frappait le python plus il resserrait son etreinte autour du chien. 

"It was terrifying. The children were screaming, and my other dogs were barking." "After about a minute, Charlie stopped squealing and I knew that was it...We were all very upset. Charlie was about 18 months old and a lovely dog." "It was horrifying to witness it and to feel so helpless." ..."...The python was just colossal and I was scared it would turn on the kids. My youngest is about Charlie's size."

"C'etait terrifiant, les enfants criaient, et mes autres chiens aboyaient. Apres environ une minute, Charlie arreta de hurler et je savais que ca y etait...Nous sommes tous en etat de choc, Charlie etait un super chien. C'est horrible d'etre le temoin impuissant de la scene.... le python etait si colossal que j'ai eu peur qu'il se retourne contre l'un de mes enfants, mon plus jeune a a peu pres la taille de Charlie." 

Hazel Knowles SCMP : "Dave Willot, a snake catcher, advises dogs owners to keep their pets on the leash, and to keep a small bottle of alcool, which could be sprayed at, or poured into the python mouth or nose to make it loosen it's grip."

Hazel Knowles du South China Morning Post: "Dave Willot, un "Attrapeur de serpents" conseille de garder les chiens en laisse et d'avoir une petite bouteille d'alcool qu'on peut pulveriser sur le serpent ou lui verser dans la bouche ou sur le nez pour qu'il relache son etreinte."

Moi je suggere d'aller promener Kai Phong ailleurs, dans un Parc National sans pythons!!!!

I rather suggest to go and walk Kai Phong somewhere else in a python-less national park!!!!
