THE 170TH ANNIVERSARY OF HONG KONG POLICE FORCE / LE 170eme ANNIVERSAIRE DES FORCES DE POLICE HONG KONGAISES

To celebrate it's 170th anniversary the Hong Kong Police Force is staging an exhibition at the former Wan Chai Police Station. Mark and I went to see it and found it very interesting. It is also the last opportunity to visit a colonial building which is going to be abandoned by the police and as it is listed, probably not demolished but sold to make an hotel.

Maintenant il y a plusieurs autoroutes et routes  gagnees sur la mer, entre le commissariat et le port Victoria
Nowadays there are several highways and roads gained on the sea
 between the Police station and Victoria Harbour  

Pour celebrer leur 170eme anniversaire, les Forces de Police de hong Kong ont organise une exposition dans l'ancien commissariat de Wan Chai. Mark et moi sommes alles la visiter et l'avons trouvee tres interessante. C'etait aussi la derniere occasion de visiter l'interieur d'un immeuble colonial qui va etre delaisse par la police, mais comme il est classe monument historique, il sera sans doute preserve et vendu comme hotel.

We saw a lot of old photos of the colonial period, very interesting. Hong Kong has changed so much, and so has its Police, very modern nowadays. Very interesting exhibition!

Nous avons vu beaucoup de vieilles photos tres interessantes, de la periode coloniale. Hong Kong a beaucoup change depuis lors, il en est de meme pour sa police, tres moderne de nos jours. Exposition tres interessante!
