In Sai Pin Wai, we visited a few small temples. The woman in charge did not mind us getting in and looking at the statues of Gods and at the encens cones.
Under the cones, there is a tray to cacth the falling ashes / Sous les cones d'encens il y a des plateaux pour attraper les cendres qui tombent |
In every temple the person in charge was very friendly so I gave some money for the temple and one of the women rang a bell to call the gods and she prayed for us.
In another village, Nam Pin Wai,we saw a lorry with men discharging big colorful pannels a strange sight.
Those panels are used to decorate the removable structures made of bamboo used for Cantonese Opera.
Then we went to several other villages among them Kam Tin Wai with it's walls. Wai = walled village
Tsuen = open village
Facing the wall were some shops and some more very colorful panels.
