MELBOURNE Friday /Melbourne Vendredi

We spent the last week-end in Melbourne. Mark was already in Sydney for his work, so I flew to Melbourne on Thursday night and arrived around 11 am. I had chosen a good hotel, right in the city center, highly recommended, but did not like it's architecture at all, it looked like a prison...It's supposed to be the best hotel in Melbourne, not one flower, not one plant, must be a hotel for highly allergic people.... 

Nous avons passe le week-end a Melbourne. Mark etait deja a Sydney pour son travail, donc j'ai pris l'avion Jeudi soir pour Melbourne et suis arrivee vers 11h du matin, j'avais choisi un bon hotel, en plein centre ville, chaudement recommande, mais je n'ai pas du tout aime son architecture, on aurait dit une prison...C'est cense etre le meilleur hotel de Melbourne... Pas une fleur, pas une plante...ca doit etre un hotel pour gens allergiques!

As Mark only arrived in the evening, David and I spent the afternoon visiting the city where he is going to stay for several years.

Comme Mark n'arrivait que le soir, David et moi avons passe l'apres-midi a visiter la ville ou il va resider pendant plusieurs annees.

We went to the aquarium and saw splendid fish and species that only live in Australia's Coral Barrier or elsewhere.

Nous sommes alles a l'aquarium et avons vu de superbes poissons et certaines especes qui ne vivent qu'en Australie, dans sa barriere de corail ou ailleurs.

They also had penguins. I did not know Australia had penguins but it seems there are many just outside Melbourne.

Il y avait aussi des pingouins, je ne savais pas qu'il y en avait en Australie, or il semble qu'on puisse en voir beaucoup juste a cote de Melbourne.

It was their feeding time and their keepers were feeding them in the pool, throwing calamars and fish in the water.

C'etait l'heure de leur repas et les gardiens les nourrissaient dans l'eau en leur jetant des calamars et des poissons.

The penguins were swimming very fast in circle to catch their food, then those who had babies went to feed them in a special place. The young 

ones were as big as their parents but had a brown fur.

Les pingouins nageaient a toute vitesse en cercle pour attraper la nourriture, puis ceux qui avaient des bebes allerent nourrir leur petits dans un enclos special. Les petits etaient aussi grands que les parents, mais ils avaient une sorte de fourrure marron.

Then we went back to the hotel.

Puis nous rentrames a l'hotel. 

We were invited for dinner at Sandy and Avi's who are Mish's cousins. Mark joined us there and so did Boaz my Israeli nephew. Sandy has 3 lovely children and her mum Daniele was there too. Here is Mark with Sandy and Daniele.

Le soir nous etions invites a diner pour Shabbat chez Sandy et Avi les cousins de Mish. Mark nous rejoignit labas ainsi que Boaz, mon neveu Israelien. Ci-dessus Mark, a sa droite Daniele et a sa gauche Sandy.

Before dinner David and I went to Sandy's orthodoxe shul with Daniele. Sandy was preparing dinner, and Boaz is not much of a shul goer.

Avant le diner David et moi allames a la shul orthodoxe de Sandy, avec Daniele. Sandy cuisinait et Boaz n'est pas un fana de synagogues.

We spent a lovely evening all together
Nous passames une excellente soiree en leur compagnie.
