BACK IN HONG KONG / RETOUR A HONG KONG

Yesterday Sunday, I took a taxi to the airport, but as Myriam was going back to London at the same time, I dropped her at Gare du Nord which is on the way to the airport.

Hier Dimanche, j'ai pris un taxi pour l'aeroport, mais comme Myriam repartait pour Londres a la meme heure, je l'ai deposee a la Gare du Nord qui est en chemin pour l'aeroport.

Then I took my plane and I am now back in very hot and terribly humid Hong Kong. Kai Phong was as happy to see me back that I was to see her. Mark dhoulf be arriving any minute now form work.

Puis j'ai pris mon avion et suis desormais  de retour a Hong Kong toujours tres chaud et terriblement humide. Kai Phong etait aussi heureuse de me revoir que moi de la retrouver.

We are currently hosting in Paris Hyde Merrill and his charming new wife Ann, They seem delighted to be in our very quaint flat where everything is very different from Utah... I had to wake them up on Sunday because I knew they wanted to go to church but both of them were sound asleep, so I took on me  and woke them up and apparently I took he right decision.

Nous accueillons a Paris Hyde Merrill et sa charmante nouvelle femme Ann. Ils ont l'air enchantes d'habiter dans notre appartement assez vieillot ou tout est tres different de l'Utah... J'ai du les reveiller Dimanche matin car je savais qu'ils voulaient aller a l'eglise mais tous les deux etaient profondement endormis, alors j'ai pris sur moi de les reveiller. Apparemment c'etait la bonne decision,

Hyde and me had a lot of interesting discussions about the new astrophysical discoveries compared to the Biblical creation of the universe,It was very interesting. He also explained to me why President Obama has not done much so far. We talked about politics, science, treligion, as we say in French "we mended the world"...I love doing it and so does Hyde who has a great scientific and historical culture!!! I really wished Mark was there, he would have enjoyed discussing with Hyde.

Hyde et moi avons beaucoup discute, des nouvelles decouvertes d'astrophysique par rapport a la creation du monde biblique, c'etait tres interessant. Et puis il m'a explique pourquoi le President Obama n'avait pas fait grand chose jusqu'a present. On a parle politique et " refait le monde" ... J'adore et Hyde aussi qui a une grande culture scientifique et historique!!! J'aurais bien aime que Mark soit la,  ca lui aurait bien plu a lui aussi de discuter avec Hyde.

Hyde and Ann invited Myriam and me for dinner at "Le souffle" my favourite Parisian restaurant. They LOVED IT!!! I wish them a happy stay at our flat.

Hyde et Ann nous ont invitees a diner Myriam et moi au Souffle, mon restaurant parisien favori, et ils ont ADORE!!! Je leur souhaite un bon sejour dans notre appartement.

  

While I was in Paris with Myriam, Mark was in Australia and spent the week-end with David. He saw his flat, his university, he had a cup of coffee with his French teacher, then they went to Museums. David seems to have settled down and to be happy.

Pendant que j'etais a Paris avec Myriam, Mark etait en Australie ou il a passe le week-end avec David. Il a visite son appartement et sa fac, il a aussi pris un cafe avec son prof francais, puis ils sont alles voir des musees, David a l'air bien installe et fort content.

Mazel Tov to my friend Barbara, who just re-married last week. I wish her and her new husband a very happy new life.
