LAST DAY IN MYANMAR / DERNIER JOUR A MYANMAR

We spent the morning in Bagan and saw a few interesting Pagodas. 

       

                                           

                                   

 

Nous passames a matinee a Bagan, visitant des pagodes interessantes.

             

Ancient stones explaining the history of the pagoda. Unfortunately, a king gave order to bring all the stones to Mandalay, which at that time was the capital,  (350 kms away) and many were lost on the way, some fell in rivers, other were abandoned and used for paving roads. Each pagoda had its stone, but nowadays they are a rarity.

Malheureusement un roi ordonna de les apporter toutes a Mandalay la capitale du moment, (350 kms de Bagan) et beaucoup de pierres furent perdues en chemin, les unes abandonnees, d'autres tombees dans des rivieres, d'autres utilisees pour paver les routes. Chaque pagode avait sa pierre, mais de nos jours, elle sont tres rares.

   

Then we took a plane to Yangoon an later on, another plane to Hong-Kong. Myanmar was one of my favorite trips.  

Nous primes un avion vers Yangoon et plus tard un autre vers Hong-Kong. Myanmar fut l'un de mes voyages preferes.
