CHUN WING LAM AT PARIS OPERA BALLET / CHUN WING EST RECU A L'OPERA DE PARIS

We are so happy!!! We were yesterday at Yau Ma Tai in a little theater, watching Chinese Opera sung, we thought by some famous singers, but in fact it was farmers from little villages, not very good singers, not very good actors, but so devoted to their art that it was very moving and interesting. 

Nous sommes si heureux!!! Nous etions hier a Yau Ma Tai dans un petit theatre, pour voir de l'Opera Chinois par, pensions-nous une troupe Chinoise celebre, mais il s'avera qu'il s'agissait de fermiers issus de petits villages, pas tres bon chanteurs, pas tres bons acteurs, mais tellement passionnes par leur art que c'en etait emouvant et interessant.

After the show we tried to find a restaurant where we could eat something and we found a small vegetarian restaurant. We ordered a lot of dishes, thinking we would not like many of them but in fact everything was delicious and we took as it is custom here, in HK, lots of "doggy bags" to bring back home.

Apres le spectacle nous etions a la recherche d'un restaurant ou nous pourrions manger quelque chose et nous trouvames un restaurant vegetarien. Nous commandames beaucoup de plats, en pensant que nous n'en aimerions que quelques uns, mais en fait tout etait delicieux alors nous rapportames des "doggy bags" comme il est de coutume ici a HK.

Once settled down in the restaurant I asked Mark to have a look at his emails on his phone, to see if we had news from Chun Wing. There was a message from Jean Wong overjoyed saying "Chun Wing has been accepted at POB". 

Une fois installes au restaurant, je demandais a Mark de regarder ses mails sur son telephone pour voir s'il y avait des nouvelles de Chun Wing. Il y avait un message de Jean Wong dans la joie, disant "Chun Wing a ete accepte a l'Opera de Paris"

We were so happy and proud, it was overwhelming. We sent a mail to Jean, then called Chun Wing's parents, but Chun Wing was on another line so we just congratulated them briefly and wrote a longer mail to them. They must be so happyyyyyy.

Nous etions tellement heureux et fiers. C'etait a couper le souffle! Nous envoyames un mail a Jean et appelames les parents de Chun Wing, mais Chun Wing etait en ligne avec eux sur un autre telephone alors nous les felicitames brievement et leur  envoyames un plus long mail de felicitations. Ils doivent etre si heureueueueueux.

Bravo la famille LAM! 

So much talent and strong will and dedication needed to be rewarded and recognized. Now I think that Chun Wing is the first Chinese dancer joining POB. Waouh!

Un tel talent, une telle volonte et une telle motivation se devaient d'etre reconnus et recompenses. Et je crois que Chun Wing est le premier danseur Chinois a rejoindre l'Opera de Paris. Oh la la!

Chun Wing, don't forget, you promised us a good meal to celebrate your succes, and 2 tickets for Paris Opera Ballets from time to time when you are on stage... and when we are in Paris!

Chun Wing, je te rappelle que tu nous a promis un bon repas pour feter ton succes, et 2 billets pour les ballets de l'Opera de Paris de temps en temps, quand tu danses sur scene... et que nous sommes a Paris!
