PAINTING KOL HAOLAM KULO... / PEINDRE KOL HAOLAM KOULO...

I gave my huge "Bereshit" painting (2m x 1m50) to The Ark, a brand new shul in Melbourne where David goes and often leads the service or parts of it. They put it in the entrance of the shul.

J'ai donne mon enorme tableau "Bereshit" (2m x 1m50) a l'Arche, une toute nouvelle synagogue ou David va a Melbourne, ou il fait souvent l'office ou des morceaux d'office. Ils l'ont mis (le tableau, pas David) a l'entree de la synagogue.

"Bereshit" in Hebrew means "At the beginning". It's the first word in the Bible "At the beginning there was chaos, nothing.." Then God created the world. 

En Hebreu, "Bereshit" signifie "Au commencement". C'est le premier mot de la Bible "Au commencement, il y avait le chaos, rien..." Puis Dieu crea le monde.

I have finished painting a second "Kol Haolam Kulo", I did a Chinese landscape Kol Haolam Kulo number 1, with a narrow bridge. See below... Unfortunately, the photo does not really show how impressive and powerful this big canvas is:

Jiai fini mon deuxieme "Kol Haolam Kulo", j'avais deja fait un paysage Chinois avec un pont etroit: Voir ci-dessus Helas la photo ne montre pas le cote impressionnant et puissant de cette grande toile.

My new painting has an Australian touch, and I will give to the Ark, in Melbourne if they like it.  Ma nouvelle peinture, a une touche Australienne, et je la donnerai a l'Arche a Melbourne, s'ils l'aiment.

"Kol Haolam Kulo" means "The entire world". It's the beginning of a song that says "The entire world is a very narrow bridge, a very narrow bridge, a very narrow bridge, but the important thing is not to be scarred." I cherish this idea of being terribly scarred to move ahead to the unknown, on a very narrow wobbly bridge, but having anyway to force yourself to move forward.

"Kol Haolam Koulo" signifie "Le monde entier". C'est le debut d'une chanson qui dit: "Le monde est un pont tres etroit, un pont tres etroit, un pont tres etroit, mais l'important est de ne pas avoir peur." J'aime profondement cette idee d'etre terrorrise de devoir avancer vers l'inconnu en passant sur un pont etroit, plus ou moins solide, mais malgre la peur, de devoir se forcer a aller de l'avant.

Here is my new painting it is less powerful than number 1, and has a Kanguru om the left lower side, grass hopping happily. Here too walking on that bridge is quite scarry.

Voici ma nouvelle peinture, elle est moins puissante que la premiere et a un kangourou sautillant gaiement en bas a gauche. La aussi, marcher sur ce pont fait assez peur.

You have to overcome your fears and keep going....Il faut depasser ses peurs et continuer d'avancer...
